Bridging the Gap between IT and Counsel
For many inside counsel, life has changed drastically. The bright line that used to divide legal from IT has blurred to near transparency. In order to be in compliance with discovery requirements in many jurisdictions, counsel and IT must work in concert. This new cooperation has revealed long-held misunderstandings and miscommunications between two very foreign departments. How is communication between Legal and IT best facilitated? Where are the common points of failure in that communication? How can we be unified under a common goal?
"Bridging the Gap between IT and Counsel" is a panel discussion between Inside Counsel, Outside Counsel and an IT expert. This in depth program will feature advice from practitioners who have found success in Bridging the Gap.
We will discuss the following topics:
- Joint efforts in architectural mapping for Meet and Confer preparation
- IT and Legal pain points and diverging interests
- Communication skills in Bridging the Gap
- Litigation Hold Efforts
- Document Collection
- Deposition and Testimony
This one hour program will provide the joint expertise from successful practitioners and will provide real-world applicable tips on how to forge a stronger relationship with your technology staff.
